The Coastal Processes Section of the LGS performs research into to issues related to coastal processes, coastal management, and coastal restoration. It works in conjunction with other Louisiana coastal-oriented units in efforts to preserve and protect Louisiana's coastal resources.

Project: OCRM Coastal Science Facilitator
This project involves coordinated ecosystem management research work in conjunction with the Coastal Restoration Division of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, the Coastal Louisiana Ecosystem Assessment and Restoration (CLEAR) Adaptive Management Module Team, and others in order to assist in providing information relevant to ecosystem management on a timely basis.
